unsent
Some feelings never made it into conversations.
Some truths arrived too late.
Some wounds only knew how to speak once they became art.
These poems were written in the middle of breakdowns, healing, rage, loneliness, addiction, grief, love, identity loss, and survival. Some were written to people who will never read them. Some were written to older versions of myself. Some were written to the parts of me I’m still trying to understand.
ZAIE is the softer side of the wound.
The ache. The longing. The quiet voice begging to be loved gently.
HAILVANT is what happens when that same pain catches fire.
The scream. The chaos. The version of me that stopped apologizing for surviving loudly.
Together, they are two reactions to the same hurt.
Two identities born from the same body.
One begging for love.
The other lighting it on fire before it has the chance to leave.
None of these poems were written to be perfect.
Only honest.
And if you find pieces of yourself hidden somewhere between the lines,
maybe they were never really unsent after all.
